Jorge was born in Córdoba, Argentina, in 1962 where he studied music until 1980. At that time he received a scholarship to continue his studies in Europe where he participated in the Menuhin Academy of Gtaad in Switzerland and continued his piano studies with Edith Fischer and composition with Eric Gaudibert in Geneva. From that moment on, he developed his career as a pianist and composer in parallel. Jorge has performed in numerous concerts in Europe, the United States and South America as a soloist and in chamber music, as a piano duo with Edith Fischer and other ensembles.

As a composer he has received numerous awards, including the Swiss Society of Authors for his chamber opera “Caccia al tesoro”; that of the International Tribune of Composers of Argentina and that of the Swiss Music Edition for “Metamorfosis I” for piano; the International contest of Gerona (Spain) for “Estravagario” and the Gilson Grand Prix of French-speaking radios for “Amalgama”. As a pedagogue he has offered master classes in Spain, Argentina, Uruguay, Costa Rica, Switzerland and France among others. He was a professor at the "Cercle Lémanique d'Etudes Musicales" and at the "Conservatoire Neuchâtelois" in Switzerland, and at the "Center Internacional d'Ensenyament Musical" in Barcelona. Since 1989 he has been co-artistic director of the festival and international course "Semaine internationale de piano de Blonay" that takes place annually during the month of August in French Switzerland.


After more than twenty years of activity in Europe, he finally settled in Santiago de Chile where, in parallel to his activity as a composer and pianist, he teaches in the Department of Music of the Faculty of Arts of the "Universidad de Chile" in the chair of composition. , orchestration and analysis. He has collaborated since 2006 with the "Contemporary Ensemble" of Chile as a pianist and composer.
